Top 10 Skincare Items I CAN'T Live Without

I'm not even joking when I tell you that Kiehl's is the real deal. I LOVE this company and everything they stand for not to mention their products AND pricing. Kiehl's started out in 1851 as an apothecary and since then has developed into an amazing skincare, haircare, and body care company for both men and women. The best way I like to describe Kiehl's is science + nature. NOT TO MENTION that they've raised about $6 million since 2010 for charities involving HIV/AIDS research, women's health, children's well-being, and environmental awareness. Gosh, if that kind of company doesn't tug on your heart strings, I don't know what will. If you haven't heard of Kiehl's it's probably because they've never spent a dime on advertising (that's pretty legit being as they've been around for 156 years).
Here's a list of my top 10 favorite Kiehl's products (in no specific order):
1. Midnight Recovery Concentrate - Jam packed with a blend of amazing essential oils this concentrate includes lavender, evening primrose oil, and squalene as the main ingredients. This product increases radiance, helps create a strong skin barrier, reduces redness and blotchiness, and helps maintain a healthy moisture balance. For me personally, I have experienced my oil level production decrease significantly from this product. If I could give this product a 10 out of 5 star rating I would, that is how much I love it. 2. Blue Herbal Acne Cleanser Treatment - Main ingredients consisting of salicylic acid, cinnamon bark (natural anti-bacterial and soothing properties), ginger root (help absorb excess oil), and frankincense. I love this face wash, hands down the best I've found thus far. I use this product twice a day. Definitely a 5 out of 5 star rating. PRICE: $11-$22
3. Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado - Active ingredients include avocado oil (fatty-acid emollient; the most moisturizing of any fruit oil; natural source of amino acid proteins, vitamins A, D, E and potassium; helps restore the natural moisture of skin), beta-carotene (a naturally derived antioxidant; used in vitamin A production), Shea butter (the natural fat obtained from the fruit of the African Karate tree; protects skin from dehydration; restores skin's suppleness; improves the appearance of dry skin). Definitely a 5 out of 5 stars rating. PRICE: $29-49.50
4. Midnight Recovery Botanical Cleansing Oil - This product contains similar ingredients as the Midnight Recovery Concentrate, HOWEVER, the key ingredient that makes this product so legit is the emollient factor that literally melts your make up off and doesn't leave your skin feeling greasy or oily. This is hands down the BEST makeup remover on the market. After a long day there is nothing more relaxing than taking your makeup off with a lavender oil based cleanser, okay, maybe that and an electric foot massager. I can't live without product. Definitely a 5 out of 5 stars rating. PRICE: $32
5. Nightly Refining Micro-Peel Concentrate - The main active ingredient is quinoa husk extract which accelerates skin cell turnover (aka a natural exfoliant) for brighter, radiant, healthier skin. I personally have noticed less breakouts when I use this product because of skin cell turnover which doesn't allow the skin to build up and store bacteria. Definitely a 5 out of 5 stars rating. 6. Ultra Facial Cream - This moisture is legit, it contains glacial glyco-proteins harvested from glaciers in Antartica (say what?! yes, it's true, google it) for 24 hour hydration along with glycerin (which actually collects moisture from the air and adds it to your face). It may come packaged like a basic moisturizer, but this one is the real deal. This is the lightest and most hydrating moisturizer I've ever used and my makeup lays beautifully on top of it. Absolutely a 5 out of 5 stars rating. PRICE: $29.50-$49.50
8. Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution - Active ingredients include white birch (increases skin elasticity and collagen levels), peony (works synergistically with Activated C for skin clarity), and Activated C (attacks deep-set dark spots and prevents other discolorations from forming). I love this concentrate because I have seen some incredible results with it. I had terrible acne growing up, which left large amounts of scarring and redness. After using the serum for about a month my scarring was significantly improved and my redness was almost non-visible. Not to mention I love the texture, it's a lightweight liquid and smells amazing. Definitely a 5 out of 5 stars rating. PRICE: $50-$79
9. Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Masque - Active ingredients include bentonite (absorbs oils), aloe vera (soften, soothes, comforts), and white Amazonian clay (purifies and detoxifies skin; known to remove bacteria, toxins, excess oil and dead cells that can clog skin and result in enlarged pores). I love this mask because I feel like my pores have actually been purified after using it. You know the drill by now, 5 out of 5 stars. PRICE: $33
10. Ultra Facial Overnight Hydrating Masque - Active ingredients include squalene (restores the natural moisture balance of skin and creates suppleness) and glycerin (pulls moisture from the air into the skin, enhances water-holding capacity of skin, enhances elasticity and plumpness, and strengthens the epidermal barrier). One of my favorite overnight masks for when my skin needs that extra boost of hydration, sometimes I even layer it over my moisturizer. PRICE: $35
As you can see I'm a Kiehlsaholic, and for a good reason. As a person who studied science, I am an avid label reader -- especially anything that I'm putting ON or IN my body. I love the ingredients in these products and more importantly I love the results. I gave all of these products 5+ stars because I am in love with all of them and what they've done for my skin. If you want legit, affordable skin care, you found it. Kiehl's has an extensive amount of products aside from skincare including hair care, body care, and even an entire men's line.
